PADUCAH, Ky. -- Blake Wolferding smacked a double and drove in both Sikeston runs during Sikeston's 2-0 win over Greenwood, Ky., Friday at the
Dinger Bats Wood Bat Classic at St. Mary High School in Paducah, Ky.
Nate Self got the win on the mound and allowed just one hit in five innings. He struck out seven and walked three. Brandon hurt pitched the final two innings for the save giving up one hit and striking out four.
Wyatt Pratt added two hits.
Greenwood's Nate Cunningham was the losing pitcher after four innings. He allowed one eared run, struck out two and walked three.
Tanner South doubled for the Dragons (3-12) in the first inning but were held hitless until a single from John Hicks in the sixth.
Sikeston (8-4) will play two games Saturday with the first starting at 10 a.m., against the host Vikings and then again at 12:30 p.m., against Windsor.

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- The Eagles posted six runs in the second inning and rode four strong innings from Layne Johnson on the mound to pick up the Scott-Mississippi Conference win.
Johnson threw 4 1/3 innings allowing two earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six.
Cole Priggel led Oran (6-6, 3-2 Scott-Mississippi) with three hits at the plate. Drew Reischman, who picked up a save in 2 2/3 innings, and Jacob Shoemaker each blasted triples.
Chaffee (10-4, 2-1) was led by Austin Copeland and Kade Sullivan who each had three hits. Copeland and Landon Tenkhoff had doubles.
Copeland sustained the loss for the Red Devils after one inning. Chaffee used three pitchers on the day.

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- The Bulldogs scored all of their runs in the third inning to only need another inning and a half to dispose of the visiting Hornets in the shutout.
Kelsi Miller was the winning pitcher and also doubled and drove in two runs for Portageville (6-1). She recorded seven strikeouts and had no walks.
Alexis Glidewell, Mikayla Rone and Taylor Tiffany all had a double and two RBIs each for the Bulldogs.
Caroline Dunbar took the loss in the circle for Holcomb (4-9). She pitched a complete game and gave up 10 earned runs with three strikeouts and three walks.

McKenzie Graviett struck out four batters in pitching a complete game to get the win for Oran (4-3).
Tatum May tripled and added a double and two RBIs for the Eagles.
Lexi Vandeven went the distance to take the loss in the circle for Leopold (11-2). She gave up seven earned runs and had one strikeout and no walks.
