SIKESTON - Anyone that was near Town and Country RV Resort Friday may have gotten a glimpse of Thomas "Tom" Witten, 56, trekking on his Tennessee Walker horse, Traveling Rock. Sikeston was just one of many stops to their final destination -- Garrison, Colo.

Witten, accompanied by his girlfriend, Willa Green, started the journey from Garrison, Ky, just at the north-eastern tip by the Ohio borderline. It took over a month for a 500 mile-stretch to reach Sikeston.

Green doesn't have a horse. Instead, she drives their car about five miles ahead, which allows them to carry all their supplies and food needed for the long haul.
