__Charleston at Central Panthers__ __Records:__ Charleston 0-2; Central 0-1 __Series History:__ First-ever meeting __Last Week:__ Charleston lost to Hayti 54-6; Central lost to Van-Far 48-6 __Outlook:__ Charleston has lost 23 games in-a-row, the most consecutive losses in school history. However, the Bluejays look to end that dubious streak this week, facing a Central team made up of home school students from the Arnold, Mo., area. The Panthers have lost all nine games against MSHSAA-sanctioned schools since 2014, being outscored 462-46 in that span. Charleston has been outscored 106-6 so far this season. Charleston has gained just 218 yards on the season, 147 last week against Hayti. Bluejay quarterback Kavion Thompson found Q'naries Anderson for a 40-yard touchdown strike last week, for Charleston's only score of the season.

__Dexter at NMCC__ __Records:__ Dexter 0-2; NMCC 0-2 __Series History:__ NMCC leads 19-11 __Last Meeting:__ 2015, Dexter won 62-20 __Last Week:__ Dexter lost to Poplar Bluff 41-8; NMCC lost to Thayer 54-20 __Outlook:__ Both Dexter and NMCC are off to rocky starts with each starting the season with a pair of blowout losses. Dexter has seen their offense sputter in both games this season, scoring just two touchdowns. The Bearcats run-heavy offense has accounted for 232 of their 263 yards this season, with senior running back Payton Tinnin leading the way with 114 yards. The Bearcat defense has allowed 76 points in two games, but allowed just 252 yards to explosive Poplar Bluff last week, being forced to defend short fields due to turnovers. NMCC's defense has struggled as well, giving up 120 points in two games, allowing 864 yards with 798 coming on the ground. Offensively, NMCC has been able to put up points behind quarterback Brock Blakey. The senior has thrown for 322 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions as Jacob Keene and Darrion Hill each have two touchdown catches. Senior Craig Beasley has rushed for a team-high 75 yards.

__Hayti at Chaffee__ __Records:__ Hayti 2-0; Chaffee 1-1 __Series History:__ Hayti leads 43-25-2 __Last Meeting:__ 2015, Hayti won 62-6 __Last Week:__ Hayti defeated Charleston 54-6; Chaffee lost to Portageville 45-27 __Outlook:__ Hayti has beaten Chaffee 16 of the last 18 games and comes into this season's match-up with a defense that has allowed just six points in two games. The Indian offense exploded against Charleston last week, gaining 475 yards. Quarterback Allen Mills rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown while completing 15 of 20 passes for 264 yards and five touchdowns. Running back Devonte Robinson rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns while Maurice Farr caught three passes for 104 yards, all three scores. Chaffee struggled to stop Portageville last week, allowing 392 yards, 193 coming in the air. The Red Devils have given up 64 points in two games but they have been tough to stop offensively, scoring 66 points. Sophomore quarterback Landon Tenkhoff has rushed for 153 yards this season and threw for 110 yards and two scores last week against Portageville. Running back Uzziah Beggs leads Chaffee in rushing with 236 yards.

__Malden at Portageville__ __Records:__ Malden 2-0; Portageville 1-1 __Series History:__ Malden leads 41-28-1 __Last Meeting:__ 2015, Malden won 62-8 __Last Week:__ Malden defeated Caruthersville 28-20 (3OT); Portageville defeated Chaffee 45-27 __Outlook:__ After winning a three-overtime thriller over Caruthersville Saturday, Malden has now won 26-straight games against SEMO Conference opponents. Running back Tray Stevenson paces the Green Wave with 336 yards and four touchdowns this season. First-year starting quarterback Mason Brown has starred as well, rushing for 164 yards and five touchdowns while completing 7 of 15 passes for 95 yards. Cordell Kilgore has caught five passes this season for 63 yards. The Green Wave defense held high-powered Caruthersville in check for most of the game Saturday and will have to be ready to stop Portageville's Ian Torrey. The junior signal caller has thrown for 250 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite target is receiver Hunter Gates, who has hauled in eight passes for 112 yards and two scores. Running back Lamar Alexander has rushed for 46 yards and two scores while also returning a punt for a touchdown last week against Chaffee. Defensively the Bulldogs have allowed 81 points, with 54 coming in their season-opener to Caruthersville.

__Scott City at East Prairie__ __Records:__ Scott City 2-0; East Prairie 2-0 __Series History:__ Scott City leads 29-27 __Last Meeting:__ 2015, East Prairie won 40-34 (ot) __Last Week:__ Scott City defeated St. Vincent 26-14; East Prairie defeated Jefferson 19-8 __Outlook:__ Scott City and East Prairie have given fans their money's worth over the last three seasons, with three of the last four games decided by one point or in overtime. Both teams come in undefeated with Scott City having to score 20 fourth quarter points to defeat St. Vincent last week. Running back Braden Cox has been a scoring machine for the Rams so far this season, rushing for nine touchdowns. The senior has gained 346 yards on 53 carries, leading the physical rushing attack for the Rams. Senior quarterback Ty Wilthong has completed 9 of 14 passes for 119 yards. East Prairie, is led by a defense that has allowed just eight points so far this season. The Eagles gave up 370 yards rushing to Jefferson last week, but only allowed one score and stopped the Blue Jays on the one-yard line late in the fourth quarter. East Prairie's offense is led by speedsters Derez Tipler and Deverence Jones. Tipler leads the offense as the quarterback has completed 14 of 20 passes for 205 yards and touchdown. He has also rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Jones has rushed for 65 yards on 12 carries for four touchdowns and also has a punt return for a score.
