Last Friday night, September 30, the North Pemiscot Lady Mustangs defeated the Lady Campbell Camels in three sets.23-25, 25-15, and 25-11.

"It was a good win for the girls tonight, especially the seniors," said coach Gary Burnside.

"We made a few mistakes and Campbell caught up with us at one point in the second match, but we got ourselves back in the game and took the lead."

"We needed this will going into the Tri-County Conference next week. It was good to see that our girls can play at the level I know they can play," he added.

Prior to the varsity match, four senior volleyball players for the North Pemiscot Lady Mustangs were recognized for their efforts on the volleyball team. From left are, Jayda Macklin, Sasha Tallant. Brailynn Hunter, and Shania Hardin.

The first senior is Miss Sasha Tallant. Sasha is the daughter of Jimmy and Jeannie Tallant.

She has competed in three years of cheerleading and four years of volleyball. She is a member of FCCLA, FCA, and Art Club.

The next senior is Miss Jayda Macklin. Jayda is the daughter of Melvin and Nan Macklin. She plays volleyball, cheerleading, and softball. She is also a member of FCA, FCCLA, FBLA, and Art Club.

The third senior is Miss Brailynn Hunter, she is the daughter of Shaun and Susan Hunter. She plays volleyball and cheerleading, and is also the student council president and a member of FBLA, FCA, and FCCLA.

The last Senior is Miss Shania Hardin. She is the daughter of Phillis Tillman and Jamie Hardin.

She competes in Volleyball, softball, and cheerleading. She is a member of Student council, FCA, FCCLA, and Band. She has been student of the month, all district softball and all conference volleyball.

North Pemiscot is now 11-7-2 going into the conference tournament.

Campbell won the jayvee match in two sets, 25-8 and 25-18.
