__NMCC at Park Hills Central__ __Records:__ NMCC 1-7; Park Hills Central 8-1 __Series History:__ Park Hills Central leads 2-1 __Last Meeting:__ 2014, Park Hills Central won 51-14 __Last Week:__ NMCC lost to Caruthersville 76-13; Park Hills Central lost to Sikeston 54-30 __Notes:__ NMCC has struggled defensively this season, allowing 76 points to Caruthersville last week and so far this season allow 52.1 points a game. They will have to stop a Park Hills Central offense that scores 32.8 points per game. The Rebels have a balanced attack headed up by junior running back Tyreece Welch who has gained 800 yards on 113 carries with nine touchdowns. Junior Tristan Campbell adds 767 yards on 118 carries with 11 scores and quarterback Jace Bland has gained 346 yards on 57 carries with two touchdowns. The junior signal caller has completed 59 of 112 passes for 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Defensively Park Hills Central has given up just 130 points this season, with 54 of those points coming from Sikeston last week. The Rebels will focus on shutting down the NMCC passing attack that has accounted for much of the Eagles' offense this season. Senior quarterback Brock Blakey has thrown for 1,330 yards and 11 touchdowns with eight interceptions. Senior Jamonte Sykes scored two touchdowns last week, one receiving and one on a kickoff return while senior Darrion Hill has four touchdown catches on the season. Senior running back Craig Beasley has a team-high 372 yards rushing.
__Dexter at Kennett__ __Records:__ Dexter 2-7; Kennett 5-4 __Series History:__ Dexter leads 50-36 __Last Meeting:__ Sept. 30, Kennett won 36-22 __Last Week:__ Dexter lost to Malden 44-7; Kennett defeated East Prairie 42-27 __Notes:__ Just three weeks ago, Kennett snapped a 16-game losing streak to Dexter. In that matchup the Indians scored in all three phases of the game, getting an interception return and a punt return for touchdowns from Tyriek Thomas. Dexter was able to hold the Indians potent passing attack to just 28 yards but allowed 227 yards on the ground. Kennett quarterback Patrick Maddox is 98 for 173 for 1,286 yards and 17 touchdowns with just five interceptions while rushing for 340 yards and eight scores. His top receiver is senior Cameron West who has 36 catches for 484 yards. Seniors Azeon Nelson (19 catches, 258 yards) and Thomas (15 catches, 250 yards) are also top targets while senior Jaylean Kinnon has rushed for 470 yards on 49 carries. The Indians defense held Dexter to 201 yards of total offense in their first meeting as Bearcat running back Payton Tinnin led the way with 70 yards on 18 carries with one score. For the season, Tinnin has a team-high 452 yards rushing on 123 carries with five touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Joe Rice started at under center for the first time last week against state-ranked Malden and completed 1 of 6 passes for 9 yards for a struggling Dexter offense that averages just 14.6 points per game and just 8.4 points per game in their last five games, all losses.
__Charleston at Jefferson (Festus)__ __Records:__ Charleston 3-6; Jefferson 6-3 __Series History:__ First-ever meeting __Last Week:__ Charleston defeated Herculaneum 20-16; Jefferson lost to St. Vincent 35-26 __Notes:__ The Charleston defense that allows 35.1 points per game will be tested by a Jefferson double-wing offense that uses a lot of motion behind a huge offensive line. The line, anchored by University of Arkansas recruit Shane Clenin, leads the way for a Blue Jays rushing attack that averages 356 yards per game and 9.7 yards per carry while scoring 40.8 points per game. Sophomore Andrew Graves leads the rushing attack with 1,709 yards and 24 touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per carry. Jefferson has thrown the ball only 25 times all season as quarterback Gunnison Heine is sometimes even used as a lead blocker in the ground game. Defensively Jefferson gives up a mere 10.7 points per game and will be aimed at stopping Bluejays running back Q'naries Anderson. The sophomore has over 1,000 yards on the season and 14 scores. Last week, Lee Thomas Moody took the snaps for the Bluejays and completed 5 of 10 passes for 107 yards, including three for 89 yards to junior Jeremy Tucker. Charleston averages 35.2 points per game.
__Kelly at Caruthersville__ __Records:__ Kelly 0-9; Caruthersville 6-3 __Series History:__ Caruthersville leads 4-0 __Last Meeting:__ 2015, Caruthersville defeated Kelly 66-20 __Last Week:__ Kelly lost to Chaffee 54-0; Caruthersville defeated NMCC 76-13 __Notes:__ In their four previous meetings, Caruthersville has outscored Kelly 61-13. By the numbers, this meeting could end up the same as Kelly allows 59.4 points per game while the Caruthersville offense scores 48.4 points a contest. The Kelly offense has struggled all season, scoring just 13 points. Last week against Chaffee, Kelly could manage just 112 yards of total offense, with 74 coming through the air behind quarterback Christian Worley. They will be tasked with trying to score against an athletic Caruthersville defense that allows just 21.7 points per game. Offensively, Caruthersville is led by quarterback Charles Golliday who has completed 56 of 102 passes for 1,166 yards and 19 touchdowns with just three interceptions while rushing for 435 yards and 12 scores. His favorite target is George Qualls who has a team-high 41 catches for 873 yards and 14 touchdowns. Running back Deandre Davis has a team-high 911 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns, including 193 yards last week on just four carries.
__St. Pius X at East Prairie__ __Records:__ St. Pius X 2-7; East Prairie 5-4 __Series History:__ East Prairie leads 1-0 __Last Meeting:__ 1994, East Prairie won 59-20 __Last Week:__ St. Pius X lost to Valle Catholic 55-0; East Prairie lost to Kennett 42-27 __Notes:__ St. Pius X averages just 12.6 points per game and has been shut out four times this season. The Lancers try to balance the run and the pass and will use two quarterbacks in Elliot Fischer and Luke Lampros. Fischer has completed 36 of 52 passes for 379 yards while Lampros is 64 of 123 for 726 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has a team-high 516 yards rushing with seven touchdowns, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. Jalen Thornton and Elijah Dale are the team's top receivers, as 12 Lancers have caught passes this season. Defensively, the Lancers allow 36.2 points a game and will try to stop the East Prairie offense that scores 31.6 points a game. Senior running back Deverence Jones leads the Eagles with a team-high 901 yards with 15 touchdowns to go along with two receiving touchdowns and two punt returns for scores. Sophomore Derez Tipler has gained 361 yards on the ground with four touchdowns while catching four passes for scores since moving to receiver from quarterback. Quarterback Carson Aycock has completed 44 of 76 passes for 653 yards and eight touchdowns, including four touchdowns last week against Kennett. Defensively East Prairie allows 31.9 points per game.
__Portageville at St. Vincent__ __Records:__ Portageville 3-6; St. Vincent 6-3 __Series History:__ Portageville leads 9-7 __Last Meeting:__ 2013, Portageville won 28-0 __Last Week:__ Portageville lost to Hayti 42-7, St. Vincent defeated Jefferson 35-26 __Notes:__ Portageville has had an explosive offense for most of the season, scoring 36.9 points per game, including two games with over 60 points. However the Bulldogs were held to just seven points last week against state-ranked Hayti. Quarterback Ian Torrey paces the Bulldogs throwing for 81 yards last week while rushing for a team-high 62 yards. Torrey's favorite target is Hunter Gates, who caught two passes for 63 yards against Hayti. Running back Lamar Alexander injured his shoulder in last week's game and his status for Friday is unknown. The Portageville defense has struggled at times this season, allowing 36.8 points per game and will have to stop a balanced St. Vincent offense that scores 31.9 points per game. The Indians have won six of their last seven games with their only loss coming to Rockbridge, Ill. Last week the Indians held an explosive Jefferson rushing attack to just 26 points while scoring 35 points on a defense that was allowing under 15 points per game. St. Vincent is led by running back Riley Riehn who has gained over 1,100 yards on the season while quarterback Tyler Monier can throw and run. The Indians defense allows 23.2 points per game and just 15.1 points per game in their last seven.
__Chaffee at Scott City__ __Records:__ Chaffee 4-5; Scott City 6-3 __Series History:__ Scott City leads 39-18 __Last Meeting:__ Sept. 16, Scott City won 42-13 __Last Week:__ Chaffee defeated Kelly 54-0; Scott City lost to Perryville 46-33 __Notes:__ Since winning their first meeting 42-13 in September, Scott City has lost three of their last four, allowing 47.7 points in those losses. In their first meeting, Chaffee was unable to contain Scott City's Braden Cox. The 6-foot-3, 218 pound senior running back rushed for 304 yards on 33 carries as the Rams beat their rival for the third-straight time. For the season, Cox has rushed for 2,020 yards and 30 touchdowns and last week carried the ball 45 times for 284 yards and four scores in a loss to Perryville. Chaffee managed just 13 points in their first meeting but were inside the 20 three times and didn't score. Quarterback Landon Tenkhoff ran for 195 yards against the Rams in September and has gained 1,167 yards on the season. He also has thrown for 815 yards with eight touchdowns while running back Uzziah Beggs has gained 945 yards on the season.
