Eula Mae Barker

Eula Mae Barker passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home in Wardell at the age of 69 years. She was born July 6, 1947 in Wardell to Betty (Cheek) Canoy and Eual Canoy, whom preceded her in death.

Also preceding Eula Mae in death were her husband, David Thornton; two brothers, Butch Canoy and Eddie Brent; one sister, Joyce Ann Canoy; and two grandchildren, Gregory Hawk Callens and Brett Hayes Rinehart. She loved quilting and spending time with her grandkids.

Those who survive to cherish Eula Mae's memory include two sons, Jackie (Ruby) Rinehart of Portageville, and Timothy (Wanda Jones) Rinehart of Wardell; two daughters, Diane (Scott) Gilboe of Wardell, and Susan (Brandon) Ledbetter of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Sammy (Loretta) Canoy of Wardell; three sisters, Sarah Ruth Barymon of Mammoth Springs, AR, Janie Miller of Wardell, and Shelia Skinner of Portageville; 14 grandchildren, Kristy Gilboe Swan, Michael Scott Gilboe, Brandon David Hounihan, Dillion Zachary Hounihan, Hayley Brooke Carpenter, Payton Alexis Ledbetter, Dalton James Rinehart, Meagan Nichole Rinehart, B.J. Flippo, Casey Christine Forrester, Katlyn Laney Rinehart, Jay Cooper, Courtney Cooper, and Devon Payne; and 9 great-grandchildren, Mollie Grace Swan, Maezie Kate Swan, Austin Kyle Shelly, Tristen Devon Tims, Karsyn Giuliana Ann Tims, Ella Flippo, Cooper Harrison Swan, Gage Elliot Hounihan, and Elizabeth Paige McCaig; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral services were held Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at DeLisle Funeral Home with Rev. Griff Walker officiating. Interment followed in the Wardell Cemetery.
