RISCO, Mo. -- The Risco Tigers nearly let a double-digit lead slip away in the fourth quarter but hung on for a 73-71 conference win over Clarkton at home.

Risco (11-2, 2-0 Tri-County Conference) led by 15 at halftime but that advantage dwindled to nine at the start of the fourth. Clarkton took a one-point lead in the early stages of the last quarter, but Risco was able to escape with the win.
"We played just well enough to close it out," Risco coach Brandon Blankenship said. "I was proud of our guys for sticking with it."

Drew Fortner and Morgan Ludwig led the Tigers with 24 points each. Nathan Burnett added 20 for Risco, who's won four in a row.

Sophomore Lee Matney scored 29 of his game-high 31 points in the second half for Clarkton. Emmanuel White added 23.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Scott County Central Braves won handsomely in its Scott-Mississippi Conference matchup with East Prairie at home.

TJ Davis led the Braves with 22 points. Deantrell Beard and Deven Blackmon each scored 14 and Garry Wilkerson and Keyth Blissett each finished with 11.

Derez Tipler scored 16 of his game-high 23 points in the second half for East Prairie, who trailed 56-21 at the break. Casey Gregory added 16.

The Braves moved to 9-4 on the season and 2-0 in the conference.

East Prairie (5-7, 2-1 conference) has lost five straight.

BENTON, Mo. -- Max Priggel drained 19 points as the Eagles flew in the conference victory over the Hawks on the road.

Layne Johnson netted 17 points and Jacob Shoemaker added 14 points for Oran (7-6, 3-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference). The Eagles maintained an 11-point advantage at the intermission and extended their lead by 12 points at the end of the second half to come away with the win.

ESSEX, Mo. -- Josh Thornton scored 19 points to pace the Rebels in their loss to the Bulldogs.

Clayton Harriel and Preston Tilley added eight points apiece for Richland (2-9). The Rebels trailed 42-19 at halftime and added six points to their deficit in the third quarter before attempting the fourth-quarter comeback.

Dallan Stotts finished with a game-high 24 points, half of which came from behind the arc, to lead Zalma (6-6). Peyton Ford had a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists for the Bulldogs.

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Cole Nichols recorded a game-high 26 points to lead the Cubs in the come-from-behind conference victory over the Indians.

Bobby Wright and Logan Yates tossed in 16 points apiece for Bell City (8-6, 2-2 SCAA Conference), which trailed by six points at halftime and four points at the end of the third quarter before the fourth-quarter blitzkrieg.

Levi Woods scored 24 points to pace Puxico (4-8, 0-2).

BERNIE, Mo. -- Nate Dillinger finished with a game-high 20 points but it was not enough as the Mules fell to the Bulldogs.

Gavin Brown added nine points for Bernie (7-7). The Mules led after the first quarter but struggled to regain their footing throughout the rest of the game.

Carter Dame tallied 17 points, four rebounds and two steals to lead Notre Dame (10-5). Blake Bauwens recorded 11 points, four steals and three rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Joe Panagos tallied 14 points and three steals for the Rams, who led by 15 points at halftime and held the hosts to single digits in both frames in the second half.
