Margie Maxine (Gray) Silman

Margie Maxine (Gray) Silman was born July 22, 1925 in Hayward to Robert Gray and Melissa Ford Gray. She died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Gideon Care Center at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 4 days.

Margie was united in marriage to A.J. Silman on October 8, 1943 in New Madrid. He preceded her in death November 20, 2006.

Also preceding Margie in death were her parents, Robert and Melissa; one daughter at birth, Brenda Silman; two sons, Meril "Dee" and Jerry Silman; five brothers, Billy Gray, Joe Gray, Bobby Gray, Raymond Gray and Dan Gray; seven sisters, Ruby Lentz, Betty Fritz, Jessie Cummings, Glenda Gray, Joyce Sawyer, Mary Brown and Ruth Muse; and three grandchildren, Michael Allen Silman, Dewayne Silman and Lance Vaughn.

Those who survive to mourn MArgie include four sons, Robert Silman of Marston, Danny Silman of Sikeston, Phillip Silman of Lilbourn and Delbert Silman of Portageville; four daughters, Nancy Edgar of Portageville, Terri Joiner of Malden, JoAnn Vaughn of LaMirada, CA, and Barbara Dabney of Columbia, MO; one brother, Buck Gray of Dudley, MO; one sister, Maggie Stocker of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

Services for Margie were conducted Saturday, December 3, 2016 at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Gray officiating. Interment followed at Standfield Cemetery in Clarkton.

Serving as pallbearers were Robbie Silman, Chris Silman, Garion Silman, Dusty Edgar and Jody Joiner.
