Seedings released for 2017 Bootheel Conference boys and girls basketball tournaments

The seedings have been released for the Bootheel Conference varsity and junior varsity boys and girls basketball tournaments.

The tournaments take place Jan. 28 - Feb. 3 at Malden High School.

Caruthersville has received the No. 1 seed in the varsity boys tournament and will receive a first round bye. Varsity boys quarterfinals slated for Saturday are: No. 3 Hayti vs. No. 6 Campbell at 11:30 a.m., No. 2 Malden vs. No. 7 Senath-Hornersville at 3:45 p.m., and No. 4 Portageville vs. No. 5 South Pemiscot at 8 p.m.

Malden has received the No. 1 seed in the varsity girls tournament and will receive a first round bye. Varsity girls quarterfinals slated for Saturday are: No. 3 Senath-Hornersville vs. No. 6 South Pemiscot at 9 a.m., No. 2 Portageville vs. No. 7 Caruthersville at 1 p.m., and No. 4 Hayti vs. No. 5 Campbell at 5:15 p.m.

South Pemiscot has received the No. 1 seed in the junior varsity boys tournament. Junior varsity quarterfinals slated for Saturday are: No. 3 Caruthersville vs. No. 6 Campbell at 10:15 a.m., No. 2 Malden vs. No. 7 Senath-Hornersville at 2:30 p.m. and No. 4 Portageville vs. No. 5 Hayti at 6:30 p.m.

The junior varsity boys semifinals are Monday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and the varsity boys semifinals are Tuesday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The varsity girls semifinals are Monday at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The varsity boys final is Friday at 8 p.m., the varsity girls final is Friday at 6:30 p.m. and the junior varsity boys final is Friday at 5 p.m.

South Pemiscot is the only team in the junior varsity girls tournament. It will receive the championship plaque.
