In memory of Lt. Tom Doering

The Portageville Police Department received an unexpected gift recently. The gift is a bench in memory of Lt. Tom Doering. “Tom has served as a Lieutenant and Detective for the Portageville Police Department for nearly 23 years,” said Police Chief Ronnie Adams. He was also a member of the Portageville Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 20 years. The bench is located in front of the police department and has the wording, “In Memory of Lt. Tom Doering.” The good part about the bench is, it was made by a Portageville Police officer, Lisa Hill. It is a sturdy bench, and the Chief plans to have it varnished.
