Local health group initiative requests focus group participants
NEW MADRID, Mo. -- To better serve the Southeast Missouri region, the New Madrid County Health Department is teaming up with other health departments across the heartland to improve and further develop M Power, a nonprofit regional initiative dedicated to helping those in the area affected by chronic disease.
New Madrid County is currently registering individuals for focus groups in which they can share their opinions regarding the services available at the health department. Those who participate will receive a $25 gift card in addition to a free meal during the focus group session.
The New Madrid County Health Department requests adults of all ages, income levels and backgrounds apply to participate. Health department officials also highly encourage those caring for anyone with chronic disease and those affected by chronic disease to take this opportunity to share their opinions regarding the New Madrid County Health Department's services.
Participants must be at least 25 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
The focus group meeting will last around one hour. To receive a gift card, participants must remain involved throughout the full discussion time.
Those who participate will also need to have an address within New Madrid County.
Focus group meetings are scheduled as follows: 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. March 27, noon to 1:15 March 27 and 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m March 28 at the New Madrid County Health Department, 406 U.S. Highway 61, in New Madrid.
