CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Larysa McClellon had a hat trick and the defense picked up its fifth shutout of the season during the Sikeston girls soccer team's 4-0 win over Fredericktown Thursday during the Notre Dame Showcase at Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Kylie Noe added Sikeston's fourth goal while Mackenzie Yant had two assists and Annie Ensor and Emma Jones added one assist as well.
The Bulldogs improved to 9-5 on the season.

CHAFFEE, Mo. (SMNS) -- Starting pitcher Stephen Willis held the Red Devils to four hits, as the Bluejays used a five-run sixth inning to secure the road victory.
Willis lasted six innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits for Charleston (5-12). He struck out four batters and walked three.
AJ Seger and Landyn Scott each had a double and a single to pace the Blue Jays' offense. Scott had a game-high two RBIs.
Landon Tenkhoff got the start on the mound for Chaffee (13-5) and was relieved by Alec Bogenpohl, who went two innings and was tagged with the loss. Tenkhoff fanned eight batters and allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits, while Bogenpohl gave up six runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out four batters and walking three.
Tenkhoff, Bogenpohl and Breven Yarbro each had a double to lead the Red Devils at the plate.

CHAFFEE, Mo. (SMNS) -- Andrew Brown went the distance on the mound in the Red Devils' five-inning home win over the Cardinals.
Brown allowed one unearned run on three hits, finishing with 11 strikeouts and two walks for Chaffee (13-4).
Gabe Henson, Landon Tenkhoff and Breven Yarbro each had a double for the Red Devils.
Karson Skinner was the losing pitcher for Woodland (5-14). He lasted three innings and allowed seven runs (six earned) on two hits, striking out two batters an walking six.
Tyler Womack led the Cardinals with a pair of hits, including a double.
