EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- An East Prairie man faces charges for alleged rape and child molestation.
Darrel Simpson is charged with two counts of first degree statutory rape, two counts of first degree child molestation and one count of sexual misconduct, according to the East Prairie Police Department.
A juvenile reported on June 3 to the East Prairie Police Department she had been sexually molested in 2012 by a man identified as Simpson, the department said.
On Tuesday a second juvenile reported to the East Prairie Police Department she had been sexually molested by Simpson as well in 2012.
Officers located Simpson and placed him under arrest. After interviewing Simpson, officers gained probable cause to charge Simpson, according to East Prairie Police.
Simpson is currently in custody at the Mississippi County Detention Center on a $200,000 cash or surety bond for each case.
