Sally Nelson

FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- Sally Lou Nelson, 85, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died Feb. 14, 2018.

Born Sept. 19, 1932, in Paxton, Ill., daughter of the late Charles E. and Ella E. Robertson Stillman, she graduated from St. Joseph High School in St. Joe, Mich., in 1950. She was employed for many years by OPX Logistics and later with her husband, owned and operated Nelson Transportation Co. in Charleston. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charleston.

On Dec. 2, 1951, in St. Joe, she married Stanley L. Nelson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2007.

Survivors include: her children, Michael and Mary Nelson, Kathy Davis, Kristine Roselle, David Nelson and Jennifer Nelson; siblings, Barbara Southland and Shirley Chapman; son-in-law, Billy French; and nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy French; her brother, Dick Stillman; and one great-great-grandson.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
