Ed Cantrell

GRANITE CITY, Ill. -- William Edward "Ed" Cantrell Jr., 61, died Feb. 10, 2018, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.

Born Dec. 16, 1956, in Sikeston, Mo., he was the son of the late William and Patsy Shaw Cantrell.

On April 29, 1989, he married Sandi Legate, who survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: three daughters and a son-in-law, Carrie and Glenn Bailey of St. Louis, Mo., Monica Cantrell of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Shawna Cantrell of Bell City, Mo.; two sons, Billy Cantrell of Poplar Bluff and Ryan Cantrell of Granite City; three sisters, Sue Hill of Blodgett, Mo., Barb Rea of Cape Coral, Fla., and Patti Cantrell of Sikeston; one brother, Dennis Cantrell of Sikeston; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston with Glen Cantrell officiating.
