Evelyn Jones

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Evelyn Irene Mansbridge Jones, 94, formerly of Puxico, died Feb. 13, 2018, at Oakdale Assisted Living in Poplar Bluff.

Born Oct. 23, 1923, in Fisk, daughter of the late Fred Hinton Mansbridge and Cora Cecilia Untiedt Mansbridge, she lived in Nebraska and Iowa before returning to the Puxico area in 1963. She lived there until moving to Poplar Bluff in 2011. A member of the United Methodist Church, she was a homemaker.

On Jan. 26, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, she married Harold E. Jones, who preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Kay Jones; and siblings, Herbert and Flora Lee Mansbridge, Margaret and Bob Pleis, Ruth and Cleo Leach, Gail and Anna Lea Mansbridge.

Survivors include; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Kay Deprew of Malden and Carolyn and Bob Fisher of Poplar Bluff; one son and a daughter-in-law, John and Pat Biltof of Mountain Home, Ark.; and five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, where services will be at 10 a.m. Kent Miller will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
