NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Helen L. Perry, 87, died Feb. 2, 2018, at New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Jan. 7, 1931, in New Madrid, daughter of the late Luke B. and Glodine Lamb Wathen, she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid.
Her husband, Harry Perry, preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2015.
She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Phillip Carter; one sister, Rita Swilley; and three brothers, Luke B. Wathen Jr., Charles Wathen and Lloyd Wathen.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Rita and Richard Brands of Portageville and Mary Kay Carter of New Madrid; six sisters, Allie St. Mary, Glodine LaValle and Linda Williams of New Madrid, Sarah Sizemore of Lexington Park, Md., Ginny Wathen of Sikeston and Mary Nell Davis of Hendersonville, Tenn.; one brother, William Wathen of Springfield; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid with the Rev. Jaroslaw Z. Skrzypek officiating.
Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid was in charge of arrangements.
