SIKESTON -- Jeff and Karen Martin have announced the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Grace Martin, to Jeremy Hunter McGarity, son of Dennis and Vanessa McGarity of Sikeston. A 2011 graduate of Sikeston High School, the future bride earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2015 from Southeast Missouri State University. She plans to graduate from the Southeast Health College of Nursing in May 2017. She is employed by Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of Richland High School and a 2012 graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Ky., where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture. He is employed as an ag pilot by McGarity Flying Service and the family farm. Plans are being finalized for a Dec. 17 wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
