Hoseys celebrate 50 years

SIKESTON -- Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hosey renewed their vows and had a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary June 4, 2016, at Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Hosey and the former Patricia Douglas were married June 4, 1966, in Sikeston.

Mrs. Hosey, originally from Wickliffe, Ky., came to Missouri as a child. She worked 24 years for SEMO Christian Academy. Hosey was born and raised in Sikeston. A retired self-employed house painter, he served as a youth minister from 1987-1995.

The Hoseys have two children, Tim Hosey of Scott City and Leslie Rettig of Wickliffe; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
