DELTA, Mo. -- Peggy Sue Coomer, 70, died Feb. 21, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 30, 1947, in Jackson, daughter of Ella Mae Beklund Menz of Delta and the late Tony Menz, she attended Delta High School, worked at Bunny Bread, Tri-Con and retired from Horizon. She was a charter member of Advance Eagles.
On March 11, 1988, in Advance, she married Bill Coomer, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include: a son, Michael (Chasity Mohler) England of Benton, Ky.; five stepsons, William Coomer of Pegs, Okla., Billy (Jennifer) Coomer of Brownwood, James (Anna) Coomer of Zalma, Dennis Coomer and Travis Coomer of Mount Vernon, Ill.; five sisters, Carol Collins, Donna Hobeck and Penny Coomer of Delta, Brenda Brown of Jackson, Mary Jo Barlow of Scappoose Ore.; a brother, Ronnie Menz of Delta; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Waddle.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating.
Burial will follow at noon at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
