Gail Dumey

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Gail Renee Dumey, 56, died Feb. 19, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 15, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Philip A. and Doris Jean Klipfel Walter, she was a homemaker and a member of of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and Daughters of St. Ambrose.

On July 27, 1979, she married Randy Dumey, and he survives of the home.

In addition to her husband, survivors include: a son, Jamey (Amy) Dumey of Chaffee; four brothers, Randy Walter, Kim Walter and Scott Walter of Oran and Danny Walter of Chaffee; five sisters, Carla Ray, Donna Dinges and Cindy Seyer of Oran, Karen Pobst of Scott City and Sandy Mahurin of Bloomington, Ind.; and three grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ron Walter; and a sister, Sharlett Eftink.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating.

Burial will be at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
