BERTRAND, Mo. -- Joe Alton Kennard, 73, died March 10, 2018, at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

Born June 30, 1944, at Peach Orchard, son of the late Manion George Wilkerson Kennard and Margie Webb Kennard, he was the very best auto detailer in Southeast Missouri for over 45 years. He was a member of Dexter Church of Christ.

Survivors include: four sons, David Kennard of Russellville, Ark., Pete Kennard (Susan) and Todd Kennard (Tracey) of Sikeston; Tim Kennard (Candy) of Dexter; two daughters, Sharon Meyer (Larry) of Scott City and Lisa Heuring (Darrell) of New Hamburg; one brother, Frank Kennard of Springfield; and 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, A.J. Kennard, Ray Kennard, Shorty Kennard and Charlie Kennard; and one sister Pauline Kennard.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Clyde Jacquas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
