SAVANNAH, Tenn. -- Mary Elsie Rogers, age 91, passed away on March 7, 2018, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.
She was born March 8, 1926, in Milan, to the late Jessie and Elsie Brewer.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, Mo.; her hobbies included sewing, crochet, tatting, knitting, embroidery, quilting, painting and baking.
Mary will be remembered for the work she did in the churches her husband pastored and the schools he taught in. She will be missed by her family and her friends at First Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On July 14, 1952, in Lavinia, she married Dolan Rogers, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2008.
Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Marilyn Davis; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen A. Rogers; one sister, Wallene Brewer McCall.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 11, 2018, from noon until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. David Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
