SIKESTON -- Edna "Kathryn" Higdon, 94, died March 8, 2018, at her home in Sikeston.

Born April 13, 1923, in Parking, Ark., daughter of the late Clay and Dell Cooper Higdon, she had been a resident of the Sikeston area most of her life; she was a member of Potter's House Ministries. She had worked in St. Louis in packaging for the F.B. Chamberlain Company and later in nursing at Shuffitt's Nursing Home on Ruth Street in Sikeston.

Survivors include: two brothers, Jerry Higdon and James Higdon of Sikeston; one sister, Willie Higdon of Sikeston; and three nephews and two nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Johnny and Cecil Higdon; and two sisters, Annie Higdon and Inez Higdon Nolen.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Givens, pastor of Potter's House Ministries, will officiate.

Burial will follow at the New Morley Cemetery.
