Jerry Henderson

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Jerry Allen Henderson, age 72, passed away on March 2, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 10, 1945, in Lilbourn, to the late William and Geneva Hamman Henderson, he was a member of Catron Baptist Church in Catron for the past 18 years.

On Sept. 26, 1964, in Piggott, Ark., he married Shirley Denton Henderson who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jennifer Henderson of Bartlett, Tenn; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Bryan Hampton of Catron; two brothers, Billy Neil Henderson of Brentwood and Jess Wayne Henderson of Livermore, Calif.; two sisters, Beverly Johnson of Lilbourn and Sherry Birdyshaw of Jonesboro, Ark.; and seven grandchildren, Denton Daugherty of Paducah, Ky., Spencer, Caroline and Alex Hampton of Catron and Noah, Joshua, and Caleb Henderson of Bartlett.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Catron Baptist Church in Catron with Jimmy Johnson, pastor of Catron Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
