Local travel agent wins trip

A New Madrid based travel agent has been selected to join a handful of travel agents selected by VisitBritain on an exclusive familiarization trip with Visit Wales.

Leslie Copeland Hunter, owner of Oakland Travel Agency will be exploring Wales, a Celtic country within the United Kingdom. She'll experience all that Wales has to offer and learn why 2018 has been named the “Year of the Sea” in Wales.

During the trip, the group will experience Wales’ Coast Path (the first such path to be designed around the perimeter of an entire country), great Welsh food, traditional Welsh singing and customs and of course, legendary Welsh hospitality.
“I’m thrilled to be chosen as one of a small group of agents to be given the opportunity to dive into the culture, history, and of course, the culinary world of Wales,” says Hunter.
Hunter won her place on the trip by answering a series of questions on Wales based on a special training course, “Catch the Wales Wave,” offered by Visit Wales.
