Charles McGill

SIKESTON -- Charles Robert McGill, age 80, died March 20, 2018, at his home in Sikeston.

He was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Bloomfield, son of the late Harlie and Thelma (Overby) McGill.

Charles was a graduate of Bell City High School Class of 1955, a retired salesman, a member of First Baptist Church of Sikeston and a member of the Sikeston Jaycees.

On Nov. 24, 1978, he married Teresa (Ray) McGill who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles R. McGill Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Richard A. and Teresa McGill New Madrid; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tonia McGill of Cape Girardeau and Charla and Slade Robinson of Bosque, N.M.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Frona and Jim Sturgeon of Menifee, Calif., and Romona Masters of Sikeston; and five grandchildren, Jerry Robinson, Chris Robinson, Hilary Robinson, Truman McGill and Isabelle McGill.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 23 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. David B. Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church of Sikeston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
