Laquitta Denton

SIKESTON -- Laquitta Denton, 82, died April 8, 2018, at LaBonne Maison in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 21, 1935, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Ed and Willie Branum, she was a retired children's librarian at the Arvada Colorado Public Library and a member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

On Sept. 3, 1954, she married James Andrew Denton who preceded her in death on March 4, 2010.

She is survived by one son, James Gregory Denton of Wheatridge, Colo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
