Helen Davis

BERNIE, Mo. - Helen Lucille Eaton Davis, 92, died Sept. 15, 2016, at the Winchester Place in Bernie.

Born Aug. 24, 1924, in Parma, the daughter of the late Charley Eaton and Iris (Nichols) Eaton, she worked at Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator and in the business office for the Chillicothe Hospital. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.

On July 27, 1950, she married James (Jim) Davis, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2010.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tracy Eaton and James Rodgers; and one sister, Charlene Eaton.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Ota Roberts of Dexter; three brothers, Jerry Eaton of Springfield, Randy Eaton of Taylor, Mich., and Larry Rodgers of Circle City; one sister, Lois Ogan of Frankton, Ind.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Rainey Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Alice Fowler will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
