SIKESTON -- David Allen Golightly, 57, died Dec. 2, 2016, at his home in Sikeston. Born Sept. 6, 1959, at Charleston, to Christina Mae Counts Golightly Codgill of Jackson and the late Edward Alton Golightly, he had lived most of his life in Charleston where he was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church. He had been employed as a deckhand until his retirement. He was married to Joyce L. Bowien, who survives of Dexter. Also surviving are three stepchildren, Lucas Oliver of Dexter, Regina Ivie of Jackson and Dana Bilderback of Vanduser; three sisters, Jeannie Anderson of Jackson, Brenda Reed of Jackson, Tenn., and Cathy Martin of Paducah, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie L. Golightly; and his stepfather, George Cogdill. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev.
