CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Harold "Hank" Golightly, 89, died Dec. 8, 2016, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born Nov. 11, 1927, in Chaffee, to the late Otto and Maude Doughty Golightly, he started working at a gas station at a young age and later became the owner/operator and changed the name to Hanks Phillips 66 Station where he worked for a total of 30 yrs. He later worked for P&G as an operator for 21 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chaffee, a 32nd degree Mason with Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615, and a former volunteer firefighter with the Chaffee Fire Department for 20 yrs.
On Oct. 23, 1946, he married Eva Grooms, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Sandra Patterson of Oran; and Nicole Rehak of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Traci (Johnnie) Shands and Brandon Patterson of Oran; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Gwen Streeter officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
