Erma Wilson

SIKESTON, Mo. - Erma Smith Wilson, 90, died Dec. 30, 2016, at her home in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 1, 1926, in Essex, daughter of the late Lawrence Estle and Lily Myrtle Maddox Smith, she was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Eastern Star.

On April 24, 1948, at Piggott, Ark., she married William Stanley Wilson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by one son, William Stanley Wilson Jr.; one daughter, Theresa Lynn Wilson; four sisters, Janet Parker, Pansy McNees, Lily Hughes and Regina Yates; and one brother, Don Smith.

Survivors include: one brother, Bobby Smith of Doniphan; and one sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Red Peel of Desha, Ark.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
