Robert Summers

SIKESTON -- Robert Dale Summers, 59, formerly of Charleston, died Jan. 4, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 16, 1957, at East Prairie, to the late J.L. Summers and Mary Doris Crane Coulter, he had lived in Mississippi County most of his life and was a member of the Chapel By The Lake.

He married Stephanie Dawn Henry, who survives of East Prairie.

Also surviving are one brother, Garland "Checkbook" Summers of Charleston; two sisters, Martha Summers and Nancy Young of Sikeston; and several nephews and nieces.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Summers and Richard Wayne Summers.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Nick Simmons, will officiate.

Private burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
