SIKESTON -- Vada Marie Mason Eaton, 76, a long-time resident of Sikeston, died Jan. 8, 2017, at her home.

Born Dec. 11, 1940, in Kennett to the late Floyd Elbert and Ruth Wilson Wagster Mason, she had first worked at International Shoe C.,. and later as a waitress at Lamberts Cafe.

She is survived by her companion, Rodney Emery, of the home; one son David (Marie) Eaton of Rockton, Ill.; one daughter Debbie (Daniel) Stewart of Columbia; one stepson Rodney (Cheryl) Emery of Temecula, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Michelle (David) Bishop of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marci Emery of Middletown, Conn.; one brother, Billy Wayne (Deana) Mason of Advance; one sister, Barbara Montgomery of Dexter and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dwayne Coleman, pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Emery, Billy Wayne Mason, Terry Mason, Chris Underhile, Matt Underhile, Russell Summers, Brent Staggs and Rodney Emery.
