Charles Shelby

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- Charles Eugene Shelby, 64, died Jan. 7, 2017, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

Born March 31, 1952, in Sikeston, Mo., to Nedra Shelby of Matthews, Mo., and the late Carl Shelby, he was a 1971 graduate of Matthews High School. He worked for many years for Ampex Corporation and EchoStar. In his retirement he enjoyed metal detecting, flying his drones and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ann; his children, Melissa Holt-Allen, Christopher Shelby, Krista Oosterhuis, Robert Shelby and Christina Shelby; and two sisters, Carla Holland and Lori Noon of Matthews.

Cremation was under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne.

Services will be held at a later date in Missouri.
