Charles Gromer
JACKSON, Mo. -- Charles D. Gromer, 78, formerly of Dexter, died Dec. 17, 2016, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 31, 1938, son of the late Ernest and Addie Mason Gromer, he served in the Missouri National Guard and had been employed with W.W. Wood Products in Dudley.
He and his wife Bonnie Jean Gromer were married Oct. 29, 1965, in Dexter, and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2013.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Gromer, Alva Gromer and Harold Gromer; and four sisters, Mary Gromer, Virgie Allen, Annie Pruitt and Dorothy Edwards.
Survivors include: one son, Timothy Dale Gromer (Suanne) of Jackson; two daughters, Tammy Dale Six (Johnny) of New Madrid and Tracey Diane Gromer of Dexter; two brothers, Allen Gromer of Union and Cecil Gromer of Columbia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 11, with dinner following, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
