EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. - Reba Lue Owens Wathen, 80, a resident of East Prairie, was called home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 24, 2017.

She was born March 12, 1937, to Roy and Arena Morgan, who preceded her in death

Reba possessed an unceasing faith in the Lord and met the world's challenges with strength, perseverance and, at times, plain hardheadedness, traits she passed on to her four children: Juanita Frazier (Wayne), Debbie Bingham (Brad), Billy Owens (Suzette) and Peggy Moore (Winston). Reba also instilled in her children a love for the Lord and a love for music and taught them to share those gifts in a way that would glorify God through blessing others. A single mother of four children, she daily sacrificed her own needs to ensure that her children were afforded every opportunity to succeed. This legacy will continue through her 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers, James, Jack and Jerry Morgan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, John and Roy Lee Morgan; and sisters, Mitzi Boss, Mary Barnhauser and Maxine Morgan.

As for Reba? She's busy driving her red convertible down the streets of gold on her way to take her place in the Angel Choir. Her wish for each of you would be that you rejoice in her homecoming.

Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church on Pine Street in East Prairie. Martin Lucas, pastor of First General Baptist Church in East Prairie, will officiate.

Services are under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
