Geneva Bost

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Geneva Bost, 87, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died March 30, 2017, at Sonshine Manor Retirement Home in Republic.

Born Dec. 12, 1929, in Cleveland, Ark., to the late Johnny Halbrook and Nora (Elem) Halbrook, she was a member of First Assembly of God in Sikeston and was a self-employed seamstress before retiring.

She was married to Farrell Bost, who preceded her in death July 13, 2005.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert F. Bost of Springfield, James R. and Barbara Bost of Matthews and Kenneth R. and Sherry Bost of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth A. and Steve Shuffit of Springfield; one sister, Imogene DeWalt of Springfield; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, one grandson, Richard Bost, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
