Cora Spradling
SIKESETON -- Cora Lorene Spradling, 94, died April 15, 2017, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
Born May 17, 1922, in Parma, to the late Tatum and Golda Davidson Miller, she was an member in the Big Ridge General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, served as the Sunday school secretary, the church clerk and was a member of the church choir. She was a member of the New Madrid Extension club for eight years and was president of the Big Ridge Extension club for two years. She worked as a seamstress out of her home for 35 years.
On Dec. 10, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, she married Darcy M. Spradling, who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby W. and Jeanie Miller of Arnold; one sister, Alyene Hunt of Maplewood; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Charles Woodard, pastor of North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories cemetery at Sikeston.
