Rosalinda Scott

SIKESTON - Rosalinda Perez Scott, 66, died April 20, 2017, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born April 14, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Jesus R. and Delores (Escalante) Perez. Following the death of her mother, she was raised by her stepmother, Teresa Garces Perez. A resident of this area for the past 33 years, she was a member of Church on the Rock and had worked in the laundry department at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

Survivors include: three sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert and Maria Garces and Jesus "Javi" and Brandy Gonzalez of Sikeston and Mauro and Christi Gonzalez of Oran; three daughters and sons-in-law, Guadalupe and Mario Flores, Jessica and Marcos Flores and Amanda and J. Merced Lara all of Sikeston; two brothers, Lee Perez of Dickinson, Texas, and Jessie Perez Jr. of San Benito, Texas; five sisters, Virginia Rosales of Silver City, N.M., Ana Davila of Houston, Texas, Delores Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, and Olivia Perez and Elvira Perez of San Benito, Texas; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and one sister.

A memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Church on the Rock at Morehouse with the pastor, Rev. Curtis True, officiating. Online condolences may be shared with the family at blanchardfuneral.com.
