Kausoundra Owens

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Kausoundra Luvenia Owens, 62, formerly of Charleston, Mo., died April 19, 2017, at her daughter's home in Bloomington.

Born April 13, 1955, in Charleston to the late Herbert and Viola Hunt Clemon, she attended Lincoln School in Charleston before attending Charleston High School. She was a member of Hallelujah Worship Center in Bloomington, where she sat on the Mother's Board.

Survivors include: her husband, Jesse Lee Owens of Bloomington; six sons and two daughters-in-law, Le'Nard and Paula Clemon of Milwaukee, Wis., Jesse Lee Clemon and Lavar and Cassandra Ware of Bloomington and Thomas Clemon, Damoni Clemon and Imari Clemon of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Lavarsia Ware of Bloomington; 27 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston. Arthur Cassell, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
