Evelyn Stutts

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Evelyn Grace Tidwell Stutts, 88, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died April 24, 2017, at her home in Savannah.

Born Dec. 6, 1928, in Sikeston, to the late Hayes and Selma Downing Tidwell, she was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston and past president and life time member of the Sikeston VFW Post 3174. She was also member of the Sikeston American Legion Post 114.

Her husband, Wesley Stutts, survives of the home.

Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Donnie Brown of Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Nicol Contino Stutts of Dallas; and four grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Eugene and Anthony Eugene Stutts; and one brother, Walter Carlos Tidwell.

Graveside services were conducted Friday in Savannah.
