EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Frances E. Williams, 87, died June 5, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 8, 1929, in Mississippi County, to the late Thomas J. and Stranda Tinnell Givens, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in East Prairie. She was employed 13 years as a secretary for Winchester Chevrolet and then worked as both secretary and county director for DAEOC in East Prairie, retiring after 20 years of service. She was first married to John W. Bohannon, who preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1986. She later married Paul McLain, who preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2001. On Dec. 14, 2002, in East Prairie, she married Robert "Bobby" Williams, and he preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2016.
Survivors include: one stepson, Michael Williams of Riverside, Calif.; and two stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, John T. Bohannon; four brothers, Burl Givens, Billie Givens, Charles Givens and Earl Givens; and three sisters, Annette Givens, Lucille Givens and Helen Gaines.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Ross Marshall and Mike Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Eaves, Bill Givens, Doug Givens, Jerry Britt, Clarence Mayabb and Calvin Bardo.
