Viola Curtis
SIKESTON -- Mary "Viola" Curtis, 82, died June 4, 2017, at her home near Sikeston.
Born Aug. 13, 1934, at Kennett, to the later Porter and Nancy Ann (Frost) Pipkin, she had been a resident of this area since 1952 and was a member of New Beginnings Church at East Prairie.
On Jan 23, 1954, at Kennett, she married Lester "Junior" Curtis, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kathern Curtis and Carolyn Curtis of the home, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Junior Curtis; and by four brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Randy Eskew, pastor of the New Beginnings Church of East Prairie, officiating.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Pipkin, Jeff Pipkin, Billy Ray Pipkin Dennis Pipkin, Dean Pipkin and Chris Lawrence.
