Shirley Griffin

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Shirley J. Griffin, 80, died Aug. 24, 2017, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 28, 1936, in Chaffee, daughter of the late Charles Vincent and Igenia Theresa Strack Griffin, she was a central service technician for 32 years at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include: one brother, Paul Griffin of Chaffee; and two sisters, Helen Knudson of Fairdealing and Pauline Asmus of Chaffee.

Two brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating.

Burial followed in the St. Ambrose Cemetery at Chaffee.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
