Vera Scherer

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Vera Scherer, 93, died Sept. 6, 2017, at St. Andrew's at Francis Place in Eureka.

Born Oct. 28, 1923, in Portageville, daughter of the late Mary Eftink Scherer and Barney Scherer, she was a member of St Eustachius Catholic Church and the owner/operator of L and S Hardware Store in Portageville.

Survivors include: one sister, Mary Jayne Scherer Clark of Eureka.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Scherer, Gilbert Scherer and Bud Scherer; and two sisters, Edna Scherer Christian and Georgia Scherer.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where a rosary service will be at 7 p.m.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
