Audrey Beck
SIKESTON -- Audrey Louise Beck, age 88, died peacefully Oct. 15, 2017, at her home in Sikeston surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Blodgett, to the late Daniel Aldrich and Ada (Tallant) Aldrich.
Mrs. Beck was a former member of Tanner Street Church of God, Sikeston Community Choir and Sikeston Little Theatre. She worked for the Bank of Sikeston for many years before retiring.
She was married to Gaines Beck; he survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry Beck of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Benita Jackson Spell and Ron Spell of Sikeston and Linda Adams Benoist and David Benoist of Senoia, Ga.; one brother, Marty Aldrich of St. Louis; three sisters, Lois Pastula of Youngstown, Ohio, Charlotte Gooch of Atlanta, Ga., and Sheila Young of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Erica Benoist Williamson and Olivia Jackson; one great-grandchild, Hayes Williamson; and two special nieces, Vivian Boyer and Rosalie May both of Sikeston.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by five brothers, Everett Aldrich, Roy Aldrich, Earl Aldrich, Gene Aldrich and Hugh Aldrich; and one sister, Virginia Boyer.
The family would like to express their thanks to the caring homegivers -- Terri, Leslie, and Loretta, as well as to the staff of VNA of SEMO Hospice for the loving care they provided for our loved one.
Visitation will be held at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. Her son-in-law, the Rev. Ron Spell, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
