Monroe Norman
MURRAY, Ky. -- James Monroe Norman, 81, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died Nov. 26, 2017, at his daughter's home.
Born March 31, 1936, in Ridgely, Tenn., to the late James Edward and Elsie Marie Burns Norman, he was retired from Mid South Tractor Co. in Sikeston. On Aug. 6, 1955, in Corinth, Miss., he married Shirley Ann Bone, who preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2013.
Additional survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Steven Monroe and Teresa Norman of Murray; one daughter, Judith Conyers of Barlow; one brother, Michael Norman of Dexter, Mo.; three sisters, Clara Humphreys, Margie Marie Suggs and Sandra Kay Pirtel of East Prairie; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Alfred Norman, John William Norman, Woodrow Wilson Norman and Danny Lee Norman; four sisters, Emma Frances Morton, Ruth Ellen Miller, Mary Jane Norman and Barbara Ann Norman; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie with Ross Marshall officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: James Morton, Calvin Lemons, Dustin Conyers, Connor Carneal, Keith Grigsby and Billy Don Suggs.
