SIKESTON -- Larry Freeman Fetters, 68, died Jan. 21, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born March 9, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Freeman "Pete" and Winona Holden Fetters, he was a lifelong resident of this area and had been a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge and American Legion. SIKESTON -- Larry Freeman Fetters, 68, died Jan. 21, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 9, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Freeman "Pete" and Winona Holden Fetters, he was a lifelong resident of this area and had been a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge and American Legion. He had been a self-employed painter and dry waller in the construction business.

On March 8, 1968, in New Madrid County, he married Barbara Roach, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Mike Weiny and Misty and Matt Matthews of Sikeston; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Jill Fetters of Sikeston; two sisters, Mary and Larry Roach and Anita Brown of Sikeston; and five grandchildren, Rusty Burks, Ronnie Pyland, Bradley Burks, Andrea Burks and Taylor Pyland of Sikeston; and one great-grandson.

One sister, Martha McCoy, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Randy Eskew, pastor of New Beginnings Church at East Prairie, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Rusty Burks, Ronnie Pyland, Bradley Burks, Mark Fetters, Chad Fetters and Tom Coleman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Pratt, Nicholas Pratt and Cody Pratt.
