East Prairie choir members attend state

On April 29, members of the East Prairie High School Choir attended the annual MSHSAA State Music Festival held in Columbia. The ensembles and soloists that performed qualified for this level of competition by competing in the annual District Music Contest in Cape Girardeau held this past March. The East Prairie choir members competed in four events at the state level. Honored at the state music festival were: Kennedy Bennett - II rating for vocal solo, Libby Cates - I rating for vocal solo, Sophomore Trio of Cates, Bennett and Presley Myers - I rating for SSA ensemble, and Sophomore Girls Eight of Madelyn Johnson, Lizzie Summerlott, Cates, Jaclyn Christian, Adalyn Byassee, Bennett, Lily Haberlock and Myers - I rating for for SSA miscellaneous ensemble.
